Pensions aren’t new but changes in the landscape mean that you’re going to have to put a lot more focus on them in the future. Employers face a growing challenge to support the pension needs of a workforce that is more diverse, sophisticated and mobile than ever.

While DC pensions have become the new norm, an almost constant flow of complex new regulations has increased the costs and risks of employer sponsored schemes while the growing numbers of deferred members is adding to this burden.

Combining his local experience and his insights from the leading pension markets around the world, Peter will tell us what we need to do to get the best pension results for our businesses, our people and for ourselves too!

About Peter

Peter has been with Mercer since 2005 and is a senior consultant within the Wealth Consulting business. He works as an advisor to both trustee and corporate groups on a portfolio of clients, consulting on the full range of topics affecting pension schemes with a particular focus on governance arrangements and member engagement.

Peter graduated from UCD with a first-class honours degree in Mathematical Science and a master’s degree in Computational Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
